Blimy Nubee, those are staggering shots...quite awsome in fact, well done!

yxx - nice ones too. I'm not a big-iron sort, but that looks good for a freebie.

Have you guys seen this Hellcat? It's the first release by Realflight Simulations. They have an F4U Corsair in development too. The Hellcat has dropable bombs, firing guns, and a loadout manager. Here's two in game shots and two renders of the VC. From the looks of this I think I'll be getting it soon.

FSX runs better than ever Even with pretty high autogen and scenery settings, the game stays above 20 FPS easily! Never had that with the QX9650, also at 4GHz.
Most of the time is running at 30 FPS. I'm not sure if HyperThreading helps that much. Since FSX supports multi-monitor SLI, the second displays goes black while flying around. So I can't see the task manager on the other screen. I monitored the CPU load with the Core Temp G15 display plugin, but that shows only the 4 phisical cores...

These are the settings I used and a snapshot of the tast manager. I also force 16x AA and 16x AF in the NVCP.
thanks for some feedback. i was one that was interested in FSX performance.......i'm am thinking of getting i7 some time in the next few months if i can find a buyer for my cpu.

how is the overall experience in relation to smoothness. i like flying the heavies alot also. but i also like high autogen settings and a lot of the times the sutters take away from the feeling like i'm flying especially when landing in a major city after a flight.. i know i can turn down settings but i don't want too

thanks for the feedback and i look forward to some more feedback

SlaWter, can you estimate the clock for clock gain with equal settings? I'm guessing you didn't do a before and after benchmark, but maybe you have a general idea?

Also what city are you over in the first shot, and what are you using for AI? I'd like to fly over the same spot with the same settings and see what I get....

That looks fantastic Silly - I have a bit of Chrimbo money already and need to spent it - this could be a possibility. Stunning shots!...

A few more with my slightly more sedate ride, featuring Steve's fantastic paint.

South Devon coast...John V said he though Horizon was no good for low and slow - I think he's wrong

Killer shots all

Finished up my vista nuke/reinstall & Just gotten FSX and most of its essentials back in...

Sometimes FSX just makes me smile with the quality of the image you can get when all the parts come together...

No editing except shrinkage from 1920x1200 +25% sharpen Cat 8.12 seems to have fixed a few problems i was having with FSX & i can now force AA/AF in DX10 without it becoming a stuttering mess
