SWAP_WAIT_TIMEOUT is one I've never tested. I recall seeing it in PhilT's tweaks list but never tried it. I'll check simviation, thanks for the tip Nils.

REX water textures are actually 1024, only the clouds go above that. You clouds look really good so I'm surprised to hear they're only 1024!

Stunning shots as usual guys. I'm having a bit of a problem with the aircraft selection menu. All the sudden upon opening the menu I seemed to have missing planes and some of the names don't match up with the picture. Has anyone come across this and is there any fix without having to reinstall FS?

Llamalama, i think i did read about that before, but at the moment i don't know a solution.

SWAP_WAIT_TIMEOUT < 30 works for me... i think but i'm almost happy with my frames, so i don't test too much.
Locking my frames to 30 helped me a lot under Win7 and DX10.

Thanks Lance! But i don't have REX and i don't feel the need to get it. FEX does a good job for clouds and water.
Steve's water normals are of higher resolution and i don't get the look of his water shots.

FSWC+ wont be tofar away i hope! it has some super cool new features onw of them being the ability to reduce the scaling of the wave normal maps so nomore massive 4096x4096 maps just to get small waves!

once i get a beta copy i'll start work on some new wave maps and a few profiles for them

Thanks Steve! I'm looking really forward to the DX10 support of FSWC and of course to your enhancements, but FSWC+ has been announced very long now and i hope they will really release it in the near future.

Yep they've been at it a while now but i guess when you have zero documentation for the features your trying to mod it can take a lot of trial and error to find out whats what,i know what it can be like from repainting with non labeled paint kits its even worse with the Redux packs ive been working on using default Aces as ref files as some stuff on the parts that have been textured turn out to not even be parts of the model ! (im guess this is from extra detaill that was pulled out at the last min to get more FPS at RTM)

Thanks for the link, Steve!
They do great work and i'm glad that they are still working on it.
I already feared that they had lost interest in it, because of the current situation which isn't really perfect, unfortunately.
I hope they get at least a little bit unofficial help, if FSX is supposed to have "long legs".

Its cool with me believe me your non-HD shots look a lot better than some Full HD shots ive seen posted of the Bell redux package hehe glad your enjoying it

The Goose HD redux is taking a little longer than i had hoped but im sure it will be worth the wait...The VC is getting a full make over this time not like the Bell VC which was mostly thrown/hacked together in a week or so & was really just a time filler while we waitted for some schemes to be finished up

heres a sneaky VC shot (still WIP) just for you guys

Wow I guess FEX can hold its own against REX. It sure looked like REX to me, mainly the first one of the silver craft. Certainly some nice shots!
