Another line to add to help prevent blurries is.

In this section[DISPLAY.Device. xx your card xx]
Add MipBias=6

This come from Phil Taylor of ACES blog.

Great shots BTW.

Need help here.

My grandfather (who loves flight sim) is running 2004 and FSX
FSX is on hiatus untill the dx10 patch for him, but 2004 is currently running great. Everything pushed up and maxed out, a few scenery adds too.

But one big problem.

When he starts up FS Navigator (its a program, im sure you simmies know about it). The game goes to crap. It gets "jaggedy" as he says. The graphics fall down a long flight of spiked stairs, and the performance gets billywhacked with a big, black club.

Can't help you there, it's not something I've used. You maybe better asking at a site such as avsim.com as theres a ton of experts there.

Oh - is that island the TDU location?

Here's a shot using Horizon's UK scenery, which is utterly stunning.

This is in the Lake District.

That is correct, they both use the island of Oahu. I might consider getting that package if I can figure out how to fly. Having an area view of the island would probably help my understanding of the roads in TDU.

That trick really helped! The blurries go away pretty fast now when they show up. I wonder what it does....

This line created a terrible aliasing in my system. Even turning AA to 4X SS didn't fix it. So I removed it.

Set negative LOD bias to clamp - and that should help.

Couple of other tips from Phil.

Don't go mad with the TEXTURE_BANDWITH_MULT setting...setting it as high as 400 does you no favors.

Adding this to the cfg file
[BUFFERPOOLS]
Poolsize=xxxxxxx
4000000 is the default in SP1...again don't go mad, and certainly go no higher than 10000000.

Does that line already exist with a different value or is this a brand new line to add to the config file?

A new line - add it below the display section.
