Now that I have done more testing it still does not load textures as well as the RTM version, but its still better than what I was getting before.
If your frame rate can take it you can always up the 'Fibre_Frame' I'm currently running it at .49 and a locked frame rate of 26 and encounter few blurries even at 500kts. I'll get between 40-70fps with an unlimited frame rate, but locking it lower also helps to keep things sharp. For me texture loading is now as good as RTM.

The only issue I have post SP2 is FSX will sometimes stop responding when accessing menus from within a flight - this may be a driver issue though.

The latest couple of BETA drivers seem to have sorted the locking issue - at least they have for me and hope others find the same.

So a few more shots, using a stormy theme in FEX to add some drama over the Isle of Man.

I would not want to be up in this.

Nice shots. Hey what driver are you using? I'm using the .09 I think, the Crysis driver, and I still have the issue. I have to hit alt-enter for windowed mode before I can access the menu, else it hard locks.

The 09's gave me lock-ups the newer 13's and 17's so far have been solid as the weather forecasting stone .

What sort of fps are you getting? - the main thing is not to just max everthing out on the sliders, but start at a mid point and play around from there. Autogen is a bit of a hog as is traffic, so keep them low to start with.

You should get very decent perfomance on your machine, but it will require some fiddling to find the best balance.

It should be quite fast on that system. Keep in mind simulation games are not designed to hit 60fps, so 25-35fps is the range you are likely to see.

To get better fps make sure you do not enabled bloom, set water no higher than low 2.x, turn all the traffic sliders down to zero, and set autogen at dense. Pretty much everything else can be maxed out, though I keep coud draw distance at 80 miles.

This gives the best balance between performance and visual quality for me, and on my system its fast enough for me to take water up to high 2.x, and autogen up to very dense, though I keep traffic down being I do not interact with it at all.

Some custom scenery shots. First one is made from google earth images, second is a France VFR scenery.

Btw, I always have my fps locked at 25 or I get blurries. 25fps is smooth enough for me in a sim, but the PMDG 747 I have is crawling. I'm lucky to get 15fps in airports
