Ya, its just the arrows. It is INSANELY difficult though. You NEED a joystick for this game.

Well I'm at work so I can't look but I would assume down arrow is pulling back on the stick, up arrow is pushing forward, left is left and right is right....

Throttle up is f3, throttle down is f2, while max throttle is f4 and minimum throttle is f1.

Alright thanks guys I'm going to give it one more shot. I tried the arrows but it doesn't seem like they do anything. I'm going to bet your right that the game is barely playable without a joystick.

EDIT: I think I'll dust off my P2 400 and install Simcopter instead. Graphics look better and it runs better too! I'm not sure WTH is up with the graphics settings, cause even when I turned everything to ultra high, it still looked terrible at 1440 x 900 with AA and AF. Probably can't run that in the demo or something. Needless to say, it's getting uninstalled.

I did manage to get the plane up in the air and keep it there though, so that was a plus I guess. Thanks for the help.

Hey, just PM me with your email address and I'll shoot over a Zip with a list of all keyboard commands.

As for the TrackIR, your eyes never leave the screen it's very sensitive. Let me see if I can make a video of how it works.
Edit: Nope my camera sucks. It doesn’t take much head movement at all. My eyes never leave the screen. In one of the jets I actually leaned over and looked behind my seat. Flying the helicopters is really great with head tracking. I say just go get one, even if it's only the trackIR3.

What exactly is "Mesh Complexity"?

I have found I can set everything to max, and leave the Mesh settings at their Ultra quality level, and I get much better performance, yet I don't really see what the setting is affecting.

Im not exactly sure what it is but I guess its the resolution/detail of the terrain meshes. I doubt FSX actually has the highest resolution available (unlike X-Plane 8 with Global Scenery which is over 60GB large) but obviously the engine itself does support these 20m (or lower) per pixel resolutions.

The Matterhorn in X-Plane 8 with GS. I do like FSX better from the "game"play and special effects side but the terrain meshes are definitly better in X-Plane.

Never heard of X-Plane before. Maybe I'll test it once, there is a Mac version also
Windows, Mac and Linux are all supported since the engine is OpenGL based. I bought it at "application-systems.de" because they offered an exchange of the old X-Plane 8 version for the new one with Global Scenery for a reduced price.

The good thing is that you dont have to install the whole scenery. For instance if you want to just fly in Europe and North America, you install the 2 DVDs with these sceneries and leave the other 5 DVDs in the box (yes it has 7 DVDs in total). You can always add or remove sceneries.

Give it a try, but remember it is different from the gameplay side than FS9/FSX (no missions, flight school etc.).

Would somebody please post a crash pic. You know Launchpad McDuck - If you can fly it I can crash it ...

Of course, please avoid built up areas. Hey but raises an an interesting question. Does landmark buildings have the same dimensions in the game as in real life?

Yup, I also love them! Some of them (landing on the bus, rocket truck, air race) are really challanging!

Capt., the planes sort of sink half into the ground when they crash, nothing too exciting or special. Back to Gothic 3 now. TTYL.
