I'm extremely impressed with FTX. Its simply the best there is, and I don't really get any blurries at all with it.

It certainly doesn't have the water data that something like UTX has, so lots of stuff is not present, but I think they will be adding more data with SP1.

The overhead view shows how detailed the mesh is along with the landclass complexity.

It's amazing how third party products, esp. terrain, seem to perform better than the default stuff, even when they have greater fidelity.

I'm very tempted by this, even though I don't have much interest in flying in oz - in fact I have never once loaded up a flight there...but it does look sooo good.

Nice shots there silly,i dont think i'll be going for FTX just yet as i never fly downunder maybe once the whole of Oz is done i'll pick it up as somewhere new to fly but UTX Us/CA & Europe will keep me busy for a while yet i think

I did pick up the Carendo MOONEY thought as i like there aircraft and they pack in a lot for not much money & with the exchange rate the way its is ATM there planes work out cheaper than a night a the curry house
i just hope they can port there older works over to Sp2/DX10 without to much of a wait

A few shots in DX10 (the lighting is so much better under DX10 i think)

Thanks to FEX for the clouds & water...talking of which did you guys see the few shots of the coming soon free FEX Hi Res cloud update over at the flight1 boards thats 4096x4096 cloud textures

Yep, great times ahead for FEX users - and I find Mr. Fuch's marketing on a certain forum a right turn-off to be honest...in fact the whole forum has become a battle of marketing certain products it seems.

But that's enough of that...

Stunning shots omzig & silly.

FEX looking quite good @ 1024x1024

Very Nice slaWter

A Few quick qustions about FTX if i may?

Does FTX's autogen still pop like FSX's default AG? im sure i read somewhere early on in its dev that they'ed eliminated the pop up issus and pushed out the autogen,i see from all the SS posted that they managed to push the AG way way out but how about the popup?

Also anyone running FTX under Dx10? does the night lighting flicker on/off like the whole city blocks are having a powercut? i get that in all my UTX packages and im just wondering if its the same under FTX,if it is i can add it to the list of Dx10/Nv driver faults

Thanks for the heads up and extra shots

What i really meant by night lighting was the 3d nightlighting/roadside/street lamps

These mass flicker on/off in UTX (they say its a driver bug) and i just wonder if FTX had found a work around

Cheers

Have you tried turning off the UTX night lighting and just enabling intersection lights? Looks pretty good that way, perhaps more realistic in ways.

Well it seems Nv might be fixing there drivers for FSX after all!

Just installed 174.51 (with a modded ini) and street lights in UTX are on solid out to the limit of the autogen Seem the bitchin is starting to pay off now lets hope they fix the clipping errors

Ive been having so much full with the new Carenado mooney i decided to pimp it a bit out with a custom paint job

Not sure if i'll put it out on the web atm as it might be a bit to bling for some ppl(i also had to tweak the spec map & it seems Carenado wont allow mods to those files looking at the EULA)

Cheers
