I stiil havent figured out how to get my ils and radio sorted properly to land. Anyone know of any decent websites that can guide you?

The game is defenitly fun but it has issues.

i tuned into a vor for otis AFB but the vor never picked it up ? the freq was taken from the map. the morse code was comming through but nothing registered on the needle.
the tutorial for vor didn't appear to set the instruments right.
I've had radio voices not work at all.
There appear to be lots of bugs in the game.

the graphic anomolies on vista are insane and isnt this suppose to be a vista game? I'm sure its the drivers but it surely has issues such as flourescant shapes instead of shadows and lots of terrain flickering, etc...

Performance needs a huge boost, forget using auto gen. even without it on and everything else set to at least high only get near 15 fps avg at ANY resolution.with autogen on sparse fps will drop to 5 or 6 fps.

system is 3.2EE, 2gb ram, 7800gs AGP.

Although I have a joystick, if you use the numpad it really isn't too bad. You can bank w/ 4 and 6 then "re-center" with the 5 key. Re-center is a major improvement over just the arrows, because you end up over compensating

Vista has no official drivers yet so performance is going to be crap. And I'm sure that's why you're getting graphical anomalies too. Wait for an official driver before judging it. From what I understand, you're lucky that the drivers that are available even have support for ANY 3D stuff. They were released purely for the AERO interface. Nothing more.

And Capt. Picard, the crashes are quite lame actually. You basically just end up sticking out of the ground. No explosions, no flames, no crumpled plane. Just a plane planted in the ground. That's the one thing I wish they would add was actual crash physics. I don't think it would be that hard to do...or maybe it would

I haven't tested it by turning off SLI and seeing the difference but it didn't help much from what I had before. That is, it's not like I'm all of sudden at 30+ fps. At max settings, I'm still somewhere between 3fps and 20fps most of the time unless I'm above the clouds. I think I'm cpu limited.

Does anyone know if the Directx 10 codepath is already included in FS X? I tried to find any info about this but MS themselves are not very clear with this issue.

The devs have stated they had no access to DX10 hardware during development, as such there is currently no DX10 code in game. They plan on implementing via a patch at a later date.

You sure about this? I remember reading that they were designing the game AROUND DX10. If so, how could you design a game around code that you weren't including in a game?

It was posted on the avsim forums by multiple members of the ACES programmers, so I'd say it's pretty reliable.

So, what about the FS X DirectX 10 screens available everywhere which definitely do not show the graphic-quality and details from the retail DX 9 version? How were these "fabricated" when no FSX DX 10 codepath exists?
