For one thing make sure you are using full screen. Last guy that was in here who couldn't get AA working was using windowed mode.

I've found I need to use 169.x in order for nHancer to work in FSX. I tried a few other drivers and beta version of nHancer but not luck, so I went back to 169.x. Not sure about Vista though, as I use XP.

Wait until you hear that RealAir Merlin! The new Griffon recordings are pretty sweet too. The new flight model is soooo smooth.

The problem was that I was trying to force AA in Vista while running FSX in DX10 mode. Aparantly you cannot force AA in any DX10 games. LAME. The problem now is that when I run FSX in DX9 mode I get severe stuttering and all kinds of graphical wierdness.

In DX10 the stuttering is gone but the water is strange with almost ever driver past 169.25. I don't want to go back though because Crysis performance takes a hit with older drivers. Nvidia driver support + Vista = retardedness.

Thats about the size of it, especially when it comes to FSX in vista.

Is your water super bright and reflective under DX10? On my machine, when running DX10 it almost looks like ice.

I'm using the 169.25's now with DX10 preview and the water looks great. With any higher drivers I some parts of the same body of water will be rendered in very low quality DX9 and some parts will be in DX10 high and it just looks extremely stupid.

There is in fact a performance hit with the RealAir Spitfire. I tested the SF260 at 32fps and the Merlin Spitfire at 25fps, so it looks like you might have to notch things back a bit depending on what your're looking for. Since I'm using 16xS supersampling at 1600x1200 I tested with the 16bit textures but saw no difference.

Just a few from my last flight. So far my favorite livery is the blue one pictured on the last page. That plane looks so so authentic, it looks like a photo.

I do love the canopy glass on this bird, again it looks like a photo. The best glass I've seen in FSX.

And one looking out over the bump mapped wing into a dawn sun please!! No one does bump mapping better than RealAir.

Silly, I know I've mentioned it before but I'll mention it again. I know how much you love the sim so I think you might want to check out the buttkicker gamer. The spitfire would be flat out incredible with it.

I'm posting a video review from Sim Racing Tonight. At the end is a coupon for a net price of $49.99. http://www.simracingtonight.com/

For that price you get a sturdy alumininum and steel low frequency effects transducer and a 100watt amplifier. Basicaly, think of it as a sub subwoofer that doesn't have a speaker cone. 10 to 250hz is it's freq range, in games/sims I set it to 10-40hz. It's awesome having incredible bass without making virtualy any sound. People in the next room won't hear it, and it doesn't bother anyone in the room with me.

It has to be felt to be believed, I use it in flight sims, race sims, and shooters. Being in a flight sim and feeling the engines in your chest is awesome. You can feel the thump of gear and sometimes even flaps. It requires no device drivers, it's a passive device that is placed inline with your audio out. Naturaly, there is no performance hit.

I'm gonna start racing in racing sims again, just ordered a copy of ARCA Sim Racing. It's cool in race sims. You feel the road, engine, backfires, etc.

Typical, go away on holiday and the plane I've been waiting for more than any other gets released - still a nice treat to come home to.

If you don't have it yet...what are you waiting for?

Hopefully the pics do it some justice.
