minor update suggestions to sticky
Nvidia gurus,
I had a rather minor difference getting 9626 to work on my ubuntu installation from the sticky. "Notes..on recent distributions" I have dapper drake 6.06 LT. For me there was an alternative version of linux-restricted-modules it seems called linux-restricted-modules-common which didn't get removed when I removed the other linux-restricted-module package. I had to add the DISABLED_MODULES="nv" to a file called linux-restricted-modules-common in the /etc/default directory (slight difference from linux-restricted-modules). Thanks, Tony |
