So basically it shares the ground with your PSU, thats good. I think the whole problem with running a videocard on a second PSU back in the day (9800pro days) was when there were two grounds, one from each PSU.

I'll bet you he's already running NV60's.

I haven't hooked the 850 watt'er up yet; my build is still in progress. But I never hear the fan on my 560W Silverstone that I have now. It's been an awesome PSU.

How many amps are on your PCP&C that you have now?

Ummm...I'm confused.. What the crap is a NV60?!? The 6800 ultra was the NV40. which makes the 7800GTX the NV50. So the 8800GTX would be the NV60...but they changed their naming so its the G80...

most reports seem to indicate the G70 was actually an NV47, since the only thing you got was increased shimmering and Transparent AA (well, notable feature wise)

6200-6800 (NV40)
7200-7950 (previously known as NV47+, renamed to G70+)
8800 (previously known as NV50, renamed to G80)
9800 (NV60, aka G90)

Nvidia basically changed the codenames for their GPUs a few years ago.

Yeah, I know. That's what I said. It's just that the guy I was quoting made it sound like jAkUp had the next generation (G90) but was refering to it as the NV60. That's what confused me. Lets pretend that I didn't say anything and get back to the topic

SO...bout this here 8800GTX....I can't wait@!!!!!!

I was joking and saying he had the successor to the G80. Forgot about the name change though.
