Yeah! though i'm concerned about the power req as you do. i wonder if my Tt750W will be enough to power 2 of these beasts without running into issue.
i already have 4 Y-connectors ready for this

If these scores are spot on then its indeed faster than 2x7900GTXs.

I'm not sure what I'm gonna' do. Regardless, it is going to have to be decided within the first week.

I'm determined to be an early adopter for G80. If I have too many questions about the 8800GTX, but none (or next to none) in regards to the GTS, then I'll just go for two 8800GTSs. That would still be wickedly-fast. Especially since I'll be coming from 2x7600GTs.

I'm just too stoked to sleep now. Seems this thread has died down greatly. I'm headed off to play some FEAR for now...

That is what I'm hoping for.

Naturally, the GTS would be atleast as fast as two 7900GTXs. So two of them could be equal to up to four 7900GTXs!!!

may be 512bit MC(I even heard this G80 already have 512bit MC built in but only 384bit avaliable)

Sweet.

So, I just rechecked my "funds" for G80...

I will just be able to get two 8800GTXs if they sell for $649.99 a piece, not including shipping and tax (though if those are included I'll still be able to afford 'em- barely ).

And if the 8800GTS goes for $449 a piece, plus add the shipping and tax for the two GTSs at $449 a piece, I could easily afford two of those.

Hmm... I will probably just settle for the two GTSs. That is gonna' be such a huge leap in performance for me any ways.
