Yeah, I was wondering about that. It let me go through the order process too, but I was too chicken to hit the submit key.

One thing I did notice is they have a rather poor review on resellerratings.com:

Lets also not forget that we dont know 100% exactly whats in the G80.. For SLI it might need alot more power..but we have to wait and see where exactly is all that power used in.

I could be wrong..Xion could be wrong..but i wouldn't spend $100-$200 on a PSU right now just for the G80..

In the end we might all be surprised..who knows..but i highly doubt for a single G80 you will need a small power station inside your PSU..

The 8800GTX will defiantly have speed lead over the GTS...you can count on that..

The 6800GT / Ultra..there wasn't much of a big deal here but the price gap was pretty high when it was out..while 7900GT/GTX there was a difference when it came to games/etc..so if u really wanted the top of the end card GTX is the way -.-..i am thinking i might wait for the G81..

Okay, if two 8800GTX's would only offer me a boost of 20 or so fps (referring to my minimal fps, not average), I don't consider it worth the extra $$$ and the loss of use of my other hardware.

If two 8800GTS's will be not much more than 20fps behind two 8800GTX's at equal settings, I'll be quite satisfied as that will be a tremendous leap from what I'm getting with my two 7600GTs.

And when the 8900GTX is released, if it offers enough of a performance boost I shall sell both 8800GTS's and go with two 8900GTX's. But for now, I'm quite confident and content on my decision to go with two 8800GTS's.

I am certain that I will not be disappointed.

Their 6-month rating is 10.0/10 but the lifetime is 6.17/10. I wonder if it means they've got their act together or if they're stuffing the ballot box.

Well they've only gotten one review in the last 6 months, so I'm guessing they just had one satisfied customer. Not much to go off either way.

Xion X2

I assume I don't need to worry about if I have this PSU for example:

Corsair HX 620W
Triple 12v rail, 18A each

I assume this way one rail goes to the CPU, and I have 36A for the rest of the system, including the 8800GTX?

Yeah, but did you look at how many six-month reviews they've had? It was only one or two, I think.

Take a look here:

Quote:
The Corsair HX620W has three 12V rails, each capable of an 18A load. 12V1 supplies the power to the main ATX cable as well as the peripherals. 12V2 supplies juice to the CPU via the 4-pin or 8-pin EPS+12V connector. 12V3 is strictly for the two PCI-e connectors.
http://www.jonnyguru.com/PSU/HX620W/

For one GTX, you'll have the entire 3rd rail to run power from (18A), which is good. No problem there.

If I were to offer my own opinion (I don't claim the following as fact), I don't think you could run dual-GTX's on that power-supply because of the wattage. I think it will really be pushing it, as we're hearing that the GTX could take up to as much as 225W (more likely around 200 or so). If you double that, you get ~400W and you still have to account for your processor (100-125W) and all your disc drives, fans, leds, motherboard, memory, etc.

But you should be fine for one card.

If you felt daring, you could try dual GTS's, but if you want assurance of a completely stable system, I wouldn't. I would just go with a single GTS or GTX. Although you have another rail (12v1) that you can use to run power to another card, it is sharing resources with your disc drives, fans, leds, sound card, etc. But it might could be done considering the GTS will take up less amperage/wattage.

This is getting really excitting, LOL I thought I would be going ATI, now Nvidia is the only one delivering it looks like for some time the next generation era GPU, DX10. Lets see, a 6800GT to 9800GTX, I wonder if I will see anything different .
