Wow.

That.

Was.

AWESOME!!!

I loved the ending!!! I am now assuming that they fully plan to make a sequel. With an ending like that, it'd be dumb of them not to. Actually, I wouldn't mind it if they went in episodes actually. 6 months per episode. And each episode should be about as long as this expansion pack was, give or take a bit.

SWEET!!!

Yes but it will not be called F.E.A.R. Since monolith does not own those rights

Wouldn't Vivendi be making the sequal to FEAR? I thought Monolith just published FEAR?

That is pretty much what I was thinking.

Then again, some games were just left unfinnesh, like the SoF series. I actually don't recall the ending of SoFII, but I believe it was left open for yet a third SoF. Yet no SoF III to this day.

So is the Monolith game an actual sequel? Or just a similar game?

I thought Vivendi would own the title and who universe, like story, characters etc and any sequel would come from them via a new studio using the same engine.

I hope it's just the title they own

Other way round. Monolith is the Developer of FEAR, Timegate was the developer for Extraction Point. Vivendi published both.

Oh my bad. So then Monolith should make the sequel, and Vivendi could publish it again.

Why not?

I'm not sure... Perhaps they had a falling out. Seems to be common with Vivendi.

warner bros games bought monolith which may explain why monolith can no longer use the FEAR moniker...
