I bought this game finally, I sure hope it has a good ending cuz I am sort of regretting it as it feels the exactly the same as the first one so far. Thankfully it only cost me 29 bucks.

For $29 you are going to feel ripped. $15 would have been a good buy, or even $20 for not feeling jipped.

To each his own, though I felt it was well worth the $30.

I think the ending was spectacular. I mean, where is the game going to go next?

Also makes you wonder: in the end, just who really is your enemy? Great game, well worth the $30, and I now am pissed cause I have to wait for the sequel.

Not sure, but I remember getting an e-mail about this...

Just checked. Both the full version and the expansion pack for FEAR should be available for the X360 now.

Atleast, that is what it said in the e-mail I got.

Well I finally got around to finishing this for reels. I must say I was a little disappointed with the ending and story overall. Still a lot of fun though, and played very nicely at 1680x1050 with 16AA and 16AF.

There won't be a FEAR 2 from Monolith as per se. It will be named something else. But still, Alma, the point man, Fettel should be back. Vivendi have the name, but Warner own the IP.

Finally picked it up and playing...

Runs pretty good however, believe it or not in some areas it makes even dual G80's dip in FPS Running 1920x1200 4x/16x

I have having problems with my logitech MX 5000 wireless keyboard/mouse and F.E.A.R. The fps never gets above 40 no matter what res. It only happens when I install logitech setpoint driver and happens only with F.E.A.R.

Any ideas?

Okay, if Monolith developed FEAR, and WB bought our Monolith- wouldn't Monolith be able to develop FEAR 2 while using the "FEAR" moniker? I can't see why WB would deny this as it'd mean profit for them.

Also, if Vivendi was merely the publisher, how do they own the rights to the game title? Wouldn't the company developing the game own the rights to its title?

As such, I can see no reason why there wouldn't be a FEAR2 titled FEAR 2. Am I missing something?

I haven't played much FEAR since I got my dual 8800GTS's- but I'm betting those slow downs are driver related. I can't imagine FEAR actually being stressful enough to make 2 8800GTX's dip to lower frame rates.

And Jakup, is it not playable with 16AA? I ask cause I noticed that you were only using 4xAA- and it seems that 16xAA on the 8800's is practically free.

Try using the latest drivers. If that doesn't work, try it without the drivers. I can only imagine it'd be a driver related bug.
