Default complete lockup with beta drivers and fedora core 6.

Ok I have fedora core 6 x85_64. with amd x2, on the asus a8v motherboard. I have a mx4000 gpu. I installed the beta drivers in order to use aiglx capabilities in fedora core 6.

But, when I log out or something and gdm is being restarted:
I get the blue C in the top left corner, and the system completely locks up.

I have always gotten this C, even from earlier drivers on fedora core 5. Whenever, nvidia and X loads I get it.

I believe this problem does not happen when start "glx" is disabled

My nvidia bug report is attached.

The same thing will also happen sometimes when I log in, As it is loading the applets and stuff it will completely lockup. I cannot pull out not even magic sysrq. I must do a cold shutdown.

it happens maybe 1 in 3 times.

sorry for double posting, from some research I tried
"NvAgp""0" seemed to stop the problem,
But, it made some compiz features jumpy and changing it to "NvAgp""0" removed this problem. However, the 3 option locked up the system once. I tried switching it to 4x. It seems to work now. But, wouldn't that have a major performance shot?

Would a new card fix these problems?

I have the newest version on my motherboard and for my GeForce4 MX 4000, my bios version is 04.18.20.36.00, according to nvidia's xconfig utility.

I couldnt find any place to check if this is the newest but i assume it is .

Ok, to my horror playing around with this more revealed that with the option "NvAgp""0" enabled the lockup accured. With so many changes I did another bug report.
