Just finished a 6 hour co-op session. Lags like hell on my system, but I cant turn the graphics down, it looks too damn good! (40 fps indoors, 15-20 in expanses)

Man for the hardware you have listed in your sig that just sucks (e6600 @ 3.3ghz + 7950GX2...). Honestly the screenshots look amazing but not so amazing it explains the low framerates.

I'm still sitting on a AMD 3200+ / 6800GT. I was thinking about finally doing a full system upgrade for this game but now I'm really thinking I should wait another generation.

Luckily Gears of War comes out on Tuesday, so I can dive into that and take my mind off of this game. Oh well....

currently I have set that every object reflects 1000 different light sources, its in the nwn.ini file

I don't get the game until mid-November but from what I've been reading these past 2 days this game is likely to turn into yet another letdown for me. First Oblivion, next Gothic 3, now this... Looks like just another system-hogging, buggy, rushed pile of hype, plus this one is said to have some serious UI and camera problems. Nothing a good bulky patch cannot fix, but the way games are being released these days, it's getting ridiculous.

Hope it all gets sorted out in the next few patches (the camera movement especially) or I lose all my hope for a good next-gen RPG and reactivate my WoW account.

How about before critiquing a game, you actually try it?

I been playing and didn't notice any major problems/bugs, and this game is the most fun I had playing all year.

I'm not critiquing, just conveying what others are saying. What they are saying doesn't sound good to me at all. In fact it worries me a lot. Still it sounds completely in-line with the way PC-games development is choosing to take in this day and age. My whole point really.

BTW if you say try, is there a demo planned for this?

I'm running it at 1680X1050 16X AF and 4X AA. I haven't tried playing around with my SLI settings yet.

For having some smaller environments and considering what's happening on screen at any given moment it sure does run like ass. That isn't to say I'm not enjoying the actual game, but I really don't see how the hell it can possibly run so horribly on a better than average system. I hope they really tighten things up a patch or two down the road as far as performance goes.

Its not even using / taking advantage of SLI for me. The bar fills up in the menu / etc..but once ure in the game..its 0 usage. I crated a manual AFR2 Profile

also setting refresh rate to 85 in the ini had no effect..its still default to 60..which is a pain for my eyes on a crt.
