why you using amdxp.exe? isn't that for the older computers?

problem with NWN2 profile is you need to ad nwn2main.exe to it. by deafault only nwn2.exe is there.

Gonna try the exe rename now. As far as the graphics go, the speed outdoors really isn't justified. The shadows are amazing but the rest is alright. Indoors though with specific light sources, just wow. The shadows really are accurate and SHARP. The textures are also very detailed, and the bump mapping is fantastic with the high quality lighting.

my order got fuxxored and sent to the wrong address.

the 2nd time something has gone wrong for me from amazon. never from any other site ever, it was my old address, but ive ordered from amazon before in my new address so i thought that was the one saved on file.. ive deleted the old addresses now but the damage is done. my ego has been shattered into a millon pieces and flushed down the toilet of life, never to recover, never to sing a song of happiness, oh woe, oh woe

i even intercepted before they delivered it, but royal mail tells me its technically theirs as it was sent to their address

So...what version of NVIDIA drivers are the ones that are best suited for this game? Some 96.xx series? Or the 93.71 drivers?

All right, sweet. I'm going to stick with the 91.47 drivers I have now (since uninstalling ForceWare drivers caused Windows to no longer boot) and see how those play with the game.

If it's bad, I can try and update to newer drivers, but we'll see what happens...I'm nervous about uninstalling ANY drivers now.

Did you uninstall your chipset drivers or just GPU? I have NEVER encountered a bad OS load after a GPU driver uninstall.

All I uninstalled was the Ethernet drivers. It happened twice and right after rebooting to finish the uninstall, Windows wouldn't load. It would get past the loading-bar screen and then would just freeze.

In the first dungeon I got a rock solid 60 fps, between 20-30 in the village or outdoor areas. Since it's "usually" closer to 30 outdoors and I can pause whenever I need to if it gets a bit choppy it's not that huge of a deal to me. I did turn off the two extra water effects though since they aren't worth the framerate hit to me in outdoor areas.
