Default 92.26 fails to reset 6800 properly

Using Fedora Core 6, Nvidia 6800, AMD64:

When I shutdown my computer with "shutdown -h now" or from the menu and unplug it from the wall for 30 sec, plug it back in, a strange thing happens.

When I turn it on, the screen turns to vertical stripes and it looks all funky. I can't read what I type!

If I press the "reset" button on the front of my comp at any phase of the bootup process (like during the memory check) it reboots and the problem is gone!

Now... when I power off again and switch hard drives to my old Fedora Core 5 installation with the 96.25 driver, it boots fine every time!

Edit: I found the problem. This version of the driver isn't detecting my flat panel monitor's EDID. I'm looking aound the forums for the command to turn off analog.
