PC version and 360 version are the same content

so co-op would be the same also

The reason I ask is that I don't recall seeing any in-depth info anywhere about the pc version, including what any of the play modes were like. With two different teams developing different versions for different platforms, it's more than a little confusing with the lack of information available. Also on Gamespot, it lists the developers of the 360 version as "ubisoft shanghai" and the pc version as "ubisoft montreal" so why should I assume the content is identical (the montreal team is also credited with the regular x-box version NOT the 360 one)? That could be wrong information or irrelevant info on Gamespy though, so it's hard to know what to think.

If the co-op is like the 360 I'll probably not bother with it then. That was the only thing that really kept me playing CT after I was done with the sp.

p.s. The only review of the pc version I've seen so far is on CVG (which is just the review that appears in PCZone I take it) and it's absolutely worthless as far as my question goes. It mentions in one of the bullet points at the end that " Multiplayer is great fun", but doesn't offer a single sentence in the entire review itself to bother describing ANY of the mp modes and the content therein. DAMNIT THIS IS FRUSTRATING.

I've noticed some lighting issues as well. Performance gets pretty abysmal in sections at 1024x768 on my system and "next generation" options selected.

Man multiplayer is annoying... not the game mechanics because I haven't really been able to check them out much since the lack of a real server browser is crap (when will Ubisoft learn we want a server browser that doesn't suck... rather than put a non-crap one in, they just took them out all together)... so after randomly joining any game and having the first million just have a bunch of German speaking people who kicked me for not speaking German... I then got into a match with English speakers... alright sounds nice... bam the host gets killed once then rage quits. So then I go into a few others, most of which the host is "waiting on a friend" and refuses to start the match... then I get into a match with 4 people... we go in and I am the only freaking merc. I really hope Ubi does something about this terrible server "list" stuff... I would like to be able to browse servers and whatnot.

It's strange. As I play everything just feels less tight control wise versus the previous games, and I've played all but the first one on PC (the first one I played on Xbox).

OK, after playing a couple of hours and getting more of the feel of the game, I can say - this game has HUGE potential to have AWSOME visuals, overall the graphics kickass - except the fact that when the shadows get very strong and dark you can see that they are ****ed up (jaggy), and some of the textures look low quality while other textures can kickass and look insane (sam's body looks VERY good and is very high quality).

Another problem that its just my video cards fault (nvidia) that it cant do HDR+AA, beacuse AA is very needed here in large areas when objects that are far away are very jaggy.

The levels that impressed me the most VISUALY - is the cruise level, when you are in the deck it looks insane! the bright lighting looks very pretty (the only thing bothered me is the AA issue, because the jaggys ruined the overall feeling of the awsome visuals), and the mexico level (where I am in now).

edit: btw im playing all maxed out (4XAF), on 1680X1050.

Hi there
Could someone kindly explain the "next generation" option that is enabled by default for my 7950GX2 ??
What exactly is it meant to do. What effect does it have if disabled ??

cheers

Holy crap, looks like Gulf War air raid footage. I'm not sure what's up there.

AFAIK "next gen" enables stuff like HDR, etc.
