tv-out nvidia 8776 xorg 7.1 failure on startup
I'm trying to boot a media PC with TV out only, I don't have a monitor for it. Running Kubuntu 6.10, I get a black screen on startup and the following error in my logs:
(==) Log file: "/var/log/Xorg.0.log", Time: Sat Nov 4 02:40:55 2006
(==) Using config file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf"
(EE) NVIDIA(0): The requested configuration of display devices is not
(EE) NVIDIA(0): supported in the hardware.
Fatal server error:
AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0
The complete Xorg.0.log with details is attached.
My xorg.conf is also attached, I've fiddled with it a heck of a lot, nothing seems to change the error.
The system worked fine before I upgraded to Edgy from Dapper. So I figure it's the new nvidia driver, the new kernel, or the new xorg 7.1 that is messing it up. I dpkg-reconfigured some things to try and make sure they are installed correctly, no changes, it seems the driver is installed ok though (i think) it's just not playing to the TV correctly...
Thanks for any help,

If this problem persists with the 1.0-9626 driver, then please generate and attach an nvidia-bug-report.log.
