Default Memory problems for FX4550 X2

Dear Listers,

I'm having problems with video card memory in my new custom rig machine. The nvidia driver/kernel is only able to pick up 512MB (out of 1GB) of my graphics card. I've tried booting with noapic, acpi, routeirq options at boottime and nothing seems work. Would appreciate if anyone can give me valid pointers to further investigae this problem. Thanks.

The mobo's BIOS is current. Below are some of the relevant info and my X config and log files are attached.

Machine Details:
dual Xeon, 8GB RAM, SuperMicro X7DAE, Geforce FX4550 X2 1GB card
OS: Ubuntu 6.06 running 2.6.15-27-amd64-generic SMP preempt kernel
nvidia driver:1.8776 (64-bit)

In your X log, I see the following for one of the two GPUs:

Netlama, That's true. But isn't FX4500 X2 a 1GB PCIe card (512mb per gpu)? In other words, why am I not able to get the full potential of my graphics card? What am i missing or misinterpreting?

As I stated earlier, your X log shows that you are getting 512MB per GPU. If you have additional questions or problems with the 1.0-9629 driver, please generate and attach an nvidia-bug-report.log.
