Default Games no workie with 1.0-9629

Hello all,

I have just installed the new 1.0-9629 driver and while the desktop appears to work great, games just lock up the computer now. Such games are Quake4, Doom 4, Cedega games, Enemy Territory, etc.

Attached is the bug report.

Please advise...

Thanks!!!

Joe

In your bug report, I see:

NVRM: accessing PCI Configuration Space that can lead to accesses

Ok, I added the kernel boot line that the readme recommended, and the computer doesn't lock up now, but when I try to launch a game, X just restarts...

Attached is a new bug report...

Thanks!!!

Unfortunately, you're hitting a (different) known bug in 1.0-9626 which is triggered during certain types of mode changes (that alot of games use) when using a DFP. The current workaround is to use 1.0-9626 or 1.0-8776. This bug will be resolved in a future driver release.

Thanks,
Lonni
