Default my card is supported???

hi all,
i've an old MSI dual head with analouge video in for acquiring.

in this days i've installed ubuntu, but im' not able to work with the linux nvidia driver!!!!

the lspci is

0000:01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV17 [GeForce4 MX 440] (rev a3)

0000:01:00.0 0300: 10de:0171 (rev a3)
        Subsystem: 1462:8661
Flags: bus master, 66MHz, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 11
        Memory at ce000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16M]
        Memory at c0000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=128M]
        Memory at cdc80000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=512K]
Expansion ROM at cfee0000 [disabled] [size=128K]
        Capabilities: <available only to root>
when i install the driver, it seem to be all ok, but when i start the X server, it hangs up, with a blank screen , no cursor blinking, and no ctrl-alt-f1 or ctrl-c working,
only ctrl-alt-del go!

is there a chance to use this video card, or i must to buy a new one???

in second istance, i don't view in lspci the WDM section, (the acquiring section) is correct?
it's another card attacched on the pci bus, or is an extension of the video chip?

sorry for my bad english!!!!

hi to all

What driver version are you using? Please attach the result of the nvidia-bug-report.sh script.
