Default 9629, Suse 10.2 beta 2 maybe to bleeding edge

Installed just fine, only problem I have is when I try and start a new session from the kmenu the system gets to the point where it's going to display the splash screen and then just hangs. Reboot is now required. I can logout from kmenu and log back in as another user just fine.

Are multiple sessions possble with the Nvidia driver? I seen one reference that this might be the case. Attached a couple xsession-errors files that seem to be different each time I try to start a new session.
Attached Files
File Type: log nvidia-bug-report.log (78.0 KB, 99 views)
File Type: zip xerrors.zip (1.8 KB, 101 views)

I'm afraid that I'm not familiar with what "start a new session from the kmenu" means. Is this a 2nd X server, or something else?

Thanks,
Lonni

I do believe it starts a new X session. Then you can switch back and forth between user logins.

Does this problem not exist with the 'nv' X driver?

I'm pretty sure it did, but one thing I'm going to try again is to uninstall the Nvida drivers. Try and see if I'm back where I can start new sessions from the current sessions. Then do a new install of the drivers and see what happens.

Went back to the "nv" driver and was able to start another session just fine. So it's something to do with the Nvidia drivers.
