The new CP sucks. It feels like adjusting settings on a mac. The auto-detect settings dont work for me. The mobo tweaks don't work (probably since I don't have a nForce mobo - so why even display them?). Plus some of the "pages" are blank or have just "this feature has moved to (here)" - I half expected it to also display "click here if your browser does not forward you automatically"

Wow I filled it out then sent them an email saying I don't ever want something as contrived as Sedona again. I then went through the options in sedona that are useless....Advanced/Standard view button. Yeah I want things hidden from me cause I am dumb.....

I don't know why companies keep trying to make elaborate control panels.

For things like graphics settings, I'd rather have it just integrated into the OS user interface. Like, a standard "tabbed" window setup with drop-down boxes and sliders.

It wouldnt need any time to load and you pretty much already know how to navigate it and configure things the first time you open it up.

I prefer the new CP, mainly because I took the time to learn where eveyrthing is. Now, I like it much better than the old CP. But, I'm obviously the minority here.

I think so too. It's almost 10:1 in favor of the old cp.

I vote old, mainly because it's a lot faster.

But as it is, I still have to use both CPs anyways.. Because neither one has every option. I would prefer they add all the options to the old CP. Or add them all to the new CP would be ok too as long as they get performance up a bit.

The new one seems pretty fast to me in 97.02. It was slow as crap in previous versions though.
