Hi!
I'm planning on building a setup with two lcd monitors (the other connected with vga and the other with dvi) and a projector connected to the tv-out. Can I do this without problems? I'm thinking about separate serverlayouts for telly and I read about problems with older nvidia cards not showing an image on the twinview screen when tv-out is used. Is it so? |

The NVIDIA X driver supports a maximum of two display devices per GPU.

is this still the case with both the NVidia driver and the Xorg driver? If yes, is this a hardware or a driver limitation? I am working on two 21'' CRTs (one VGA, one DVI->VGA) with a total res of 3200x1200, now i'd like to connect a 28'' TV on the TV-Out. While working on the two CRTs (currently TwinView) i would like to be able to start e.g. mplayer on a second XServer to play videos. The card can only output to two devices at the same time. If you would launch a second Xserver for tvout, then the first Xserver is more or less 'suspended'. The monitors running in it will turn black.
