Default Autmoatic configuration problem

Hello.
I have just installed nvidia drivers. I couldn't install it on init 3 because on this level x windows was starting, so I had to install it on init 1. Also installer had to compile files for kernel. Next after rebooting I got some error message saying that in configuration file are errors, so X couldn't start. After going back to old config Linux could start properly. I'm attaching my original config (xorg.conf) and one generated by nvidia installer (1xorg.conf). Please help me with starting nvidia and thanks in advance.

I don't know how to generate this log file, but after trying this buggy config again only error message I saw was like: Error loading NVidia kernel module.

Just run 'nvidia-bug-report.sh', as root.

According to your bug report, you're using the nv X driver, and not the nvidia X driver.

Ok. I changed the configuration file, but now I can't start any opengl applications. For example googleearth starts, but part of the window that is showing the world isn't showing and windows that are moved over it remains on this part of window. In other case game Tibia that from the begining has window created as opengl doesn't even start.

The 'new' bug report is identical to the last one. In other words, you're still using the nv X driver rather than the nvidia X driver.

I'd suggest reading the driver README for details on how to configure X to use the nvidia X driver.

Thanks,
Lonni

I see:
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to load the NVIDIA kernel module!
(EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting ***

What happens if you run "modprobe nvidia" as root?
