None of the 9xxx drivers will start up both my monitors. The primary display starts but I get the input not supported message, I get this with the 8774 driver, but I can use a custom modeline to fix it. The secondary display says it can't validate any modes and trys to run in 640. None of the custom modelines I tried will change t his behavior. Even using the modeline that fixes my 8774 issue doesn't work with the 9xxx drivers.
I've tried using twinview, xinerama, 2 seperate screens, all do the same thing. The tarball contains the nvidia-bug-report.log, X.org.log, xorg.conf. |

The problem here is the second DVI connector has a max pixel clock of 155Mhz:
(--) NVIDIA(1): LCD R912E (DFP-1): 155.0 MHz maximum pixel clock (--) NVIDIA(1): LCD R912E (DFP-1): Internal Single Link TMDS Yet the 1280x1024 mode in its EDID requires 157.5Mhz: (--) NVIDIA(1): Detailed Timings: (--) NVIDIA(1): 1280 x 1024 @ 85 Hz (--) NVIDIA(1): Pixel Clock : 157.50 MHz (--) NVIDIA(1): HRes, HSyncStart : 1280, 1344 (--) NVIDIA(1): HSyncEnd, HTotal : 1504, 1728 (--) NVIDIA(1): VRes, VSyncStart : 1024, 1025 (--) NVIDIA(1): VSyncEnd, VTotal : 1028, 1072 (--) NVIDIA(1): H/V Polarity : +/+ You can try requesting a "1280x1024_60" mode instead, or a smaller mode (1024x768, etc). Thanks, Lonni |

Setting the first screen to 1280x1024_75 gets rid of the invalid input. But no matter what I set the other one to, it still says it can't validate any modes. I went all the way down to 640x480. Trying several diffrent refresh rates.
The thing that is odd, is that the primary output is the one that wont start up, the one that has the full 300Mhz pixel clock. With the 8774 drivers I set a custom modeline to get around the 155Mhz pixel clock on the secondary input. |

Please start X with the following command:
startx -- -logverbose 6 and then generate a new bug report. Thanks, Lonni |

Try adding the following to the Device section:
Option "ModeValidation" "NoDFPNativeResolutionCheck" Thanks, Lonni |

That did the trick, both screens started up fine. Cedega and OpenGL games are running as they should.
Happy camper again, now I can install my 2.6.19 kernel. Thanks for the help and the quick responses. |
