Hey everyone,
I am over here from the Ubuntu forums, because I cannot seem to get a good answer to my problem over there. I have a Gateway MX3414 laptop (Go 6100 Card) running Ubuntu Edgy Eft. I am having lots of troubles related to the Nvidia chipset. I have no sound, my video is messed up (although I was able to get the video set to 1280x800 by manually editing the xorg.conf file. I was hoping that this post: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/show...t=75129&page=3 would help me. Is this something I should be looking at? I see now that the Nvidia Unix Driver version 1.0-9xxx has been released. Does this mean that if I install this driver some of these problems may be fixed? If there is any other information you need so you may be able to help me, please let me know and I can post it immediately. Thanks Last edited by brandonbco; 01-13-07 at 10:46 PM. Reason: add |
