I try to install SLES10 with a nForce chipset, but it when the
sata_nv.ko driver loads , the driver crash with 1020 Segemtation fault, obvious after that I cannot see the sata disk to install I tried to build the drivers from source, as advise in http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=73925 but with no luck. Get the following errors : sles10:/Nvidia # make -C /usr/src/linux SUNDIRS=$PWD modules make: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.16.21-0.25' CHK /usr/src/linux-2.6.16.21-0.25/include/linux/version.h CC [M] drivers/scsi/sata_nv.o drivers/scsi/sata_nv.c:204: error: expected ‘=’, ‘,’, ‘;’, ‘asm’ or ‘__attribute__’ before ‘nv_s ht’ drivers/scsi/sata_nv.c:257: error: ‘nv_sht’ undeclared here (not in a function) drivers/scsi/sata_nv.c: In function ‘nv_init_one’: drivers/scsi/sata_nv.c:386: error: too few arguments to function ‘ata_pci_init_native_mode’ make[2]: *** [drivers/scsi/sata_nv.o] Error 1 make[1]: *** [drivers/scsi] Error 2 make: *** [drivers] Error 2 make: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.16.21-0.25' Any suggestions ? |

What kind of motherboard are you using?
Are you installing 32 or 64bit SLES10? Thanks, Lonni |
