Default Xdtv Overly

Sorry about warming up this unloved subject.

My graphics adapter: Geforce 3 Ti500
TV-Card: Magic TView99 (Bt878)
Ubuntu Edgy
Nvidia Driver v.9631 (with No-DGA-Feature)

My Tv-Applications (TVTime, xdtv etc) DO work, but they eat my CPU while I can count the frames.

Is there any way to activate some kind of overlay mode without DGA? (Setting the framebuffer base manually with xdtv_v4l-conf -a <Kappes> did not work.)

Thank You

Lothar

tvtime eats up to 80% of cpu.
xawtv gives black borders on fullscreen.
xdtv does fullscreen only in grabdisplay.

The programs should just use the card more effectively using lets say opengl (it can perfectly act as a DGA replacement).
