Default Is this card compatible with official nVidia Linux drivers?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130061

I am thinking about buying this video card in a few weeks. I've seen many people say "Must use drivers on disk."

I run Linux, and I doubt the disk includes Linux drivers.

This will be my second video card from nVidia, I just want to confirm that it will actually work under Linux.
Thanks.

Hi Lonni,
I'm considering getting a different model of a 7950GT.
Do nVidia drivers work with all models of 7950GT?

I understand, nVidia makes the GPU and the other companies (eVGA, XFX, etc) do the rest, I just want to clarify that I will not buy a 7950GT, and not have driver support.

Thanks.

then for some reason i seem to find myself without the ability to use my 7950gt video card, it has the id0295, and checked the list of available drivers for the card and it is not even supported. http://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree8...ppendix-a.html

What does "without the ability to use my 7950gt video card" mean? Please generate and post an nvidia-bug-report.log which captures the problem.

Thanks,
Lonni
