Screen to big for TV

I have a Samsung HL-R5087W DLP and it is connected to a ti4800 via a DVI to HDMI connection.

I am running the 9631 video drivers at 1280x720 but it is the same at 800x600 and 640x480.

When looking at the screen I can see 90% or so of my screen. The rest is hidden off of the Edges. For example in order to be able to view firefox correctly I had to edit the Advanced > Special Window Settings and adjust Position to 45,20 and Size to 1200,645 in order for all of firefox to be on the screen.

I need to know how to adjust my desktop so that it fills my entire screen. I believe I attached the normal requested files.

I have a 7900GT hooked up to my HL-S5688W via DVI->HDMI and I have seen this too.

Under Linux, the nVidia driver doesn't sense EDID correctly (9xxx fixed some 8xxx edid issues) but the Windows driver works perfectly. Example: Linux sees my 1080P TV as only 1280x720. Windows sees it as 1920x1080.

There was another thread where a guy with a different brand of HDTV used a custom mode line to have it show 1920x1080 under Linux, but he had to disable *a lot* of nVidia automatic settings to get it to work. I tried his setup, but of course it didn't work for my TV.

*Note: If I use a DVI->RGB connection then EDID is sensed correctly and I can run at full 1920x1080 under Linux.
