I have just tried Gothic III with Coverage Sample AA 8x, AF 16x, and integrated "HDR" (it is bloom in fact, and is refered to as postprocessing level 1 in Gothic III), and all is working well with 97.44. Great thing is that single 8800GTX can handle 1920x1200 in this game with FPS 40-70 (which is more than enough for RPG).
The only real problem I have is SCDA and "high definition shader". Have nTune installed, by OC my card through RivaTuner. ![]()

I would say first of all you are prolly dealing with a software issue. Something in the background probably causing the performance drops. Also, something prolly specific to opengl maybe. Do you have the chipset drivers installed for the nv mobo? Is the system prime and memtest stable? What is your hypertransport running at? Try another mouse!!! I remember issues with those mice. Also, what do you run in the background for firewall, av, any other startup apps?

Edit: Nevermind, rebooting seems to have solved it.

Has anyone tried Star Wars Republic Commando???? I can't game with it for the life of me. New Game just totally crashes in general (which Driver release notes actually state). But I can't game online either . It was working for 5 minutes or so and now it just crashes when trying to join a server???
I'm using 97.44 also.

Those are terrific screenshots! I'm not able to try this at the moment or I wouldn't be bothering you. Do postprocessing levels 2 and 3 disable AA? Also, are you forcing AF from the control panel or using application controlled anisotropic filtering? Thanks much! |

P.S. The errors occur not in a specific region, but rather during intense firefights or while the Arty is raining down. I always had my FPS capped at 100, but even with the 7900GT on a 64 person server it rarely dropped below 70FPS. |

Need for Speed Carbon isn't working very well with SLI for me. It's smoother with a single card. I've just tried the regular SFR, AFR1 and AFR2 modes. It also seems to change a little. Like the first time I tried it I used AFR1 and it wasn't too bad. I exited the game, tried AFR2 and performance wasn't very good at all. Also, SLI wasn't used at all (no green at all). I then exited, switched to SFR, it didn't run all that great. Exited, went back to AFR1. SLI was being utilized but performance was lower than the first time I tried it and it was more jerky also. I had this problem with earlier drivers and somehow it just went away. Now it's back.
Trying to use 4xAA/16xAF. |
