The new drivers still have the "chasing shadow" problem in Just Cause.

Same Problem with 97.92...waiting for a Fix.

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but I just remembered another problem with Red Orchestra that is still present in the newest driver.

When you have the "scope" graphics setting set to high it uses a pixel shader effect on the lense of the scope to make it really zoom in (rather than just switching to a zoomed in 2d overlay like most other games). When I use this setting buildings and static scenery models do NOT draw. This means I can see through walls and buildings with the sniper scope. Its doesnt get you that much(since you cant tell if someone is behind a wall or not and you can't hit them if they are) but it could definitely be used as a cheat.

I've also noticed that I get a lot of mouse lag when I look through a lot of grass (even when its running at 50fps). It only happens at very high resolutions (2048x1536). I guess its probably just showing a severe limitation of the game engine. Battlefield 2 runs with zero mouse lag at the same resolution (even with 16xTAA), so its probably just related to poor use of the grass\foliage in the UT2004 engine (the game is pretty much just a highly advanced mod). I'd hate to lose the visuals, but I think I'll just end up disabling grass.

I have the problem, and yes its at certain angles .... the best way to replicate it I have found is to view from outside behind an aircraft as its over sea and heading towards land, use the mouse to tilt the picure angle about and after a while it should become apparent, its a curve on the bottom half of the screen were it becomes different shade large blocks.

I fly game in ****pit only, but its still apparent in some situations (only affaects the sea) and most distracting when you are looking for the enemy !

I have tried every driver set available, and found it exists in all of them, Nvidia are not too quick at fixing driver issues IMO, which is a shame considering how good the hardware is.

El Matador lighting/shadows are misplaced, like CoJ (97.92).

Can anyone run republic commando with 8800? - mine CTD when loading a new game. I get to the menus but then it crashes. Someone mentioned it crashing after the first level... I can't get it to run at all though.

Upon installation, the 8800gtx worked fine in COD2, but it later started crapping out. I didn't change anything and my system is superpi stable...

purple textures and my lagometer started tripping out. The blue upside down peaks mean the frame is interpolating between two valid snapshots, but I have no idea what that means.... Happens in all servers & my ping is always <60. Because cod2 at one time ran nicely, i did a full reformat and it didn't fix it -- the problems were still there. css, quake4, and bf2 all run fine.

ballistix pc2 1000
p5b-dlx wifi
x-fi xtrememusic
2xseagate 250gb in raid0
PCP&C silencer 750w

how frustrating....I love this game.

When you say that the system is superpi stable, that is not very convincing. After building my rig and OC, I ran prime95 for 24h, memtest86 for 12h, 3Dmark 03/05 for 8 hours on a loop, and ATI Tool for 8h. That my friend is stable.
