I don't know if that's the cause or not but as a FYI, I'm not using the widescreen hack. I just haven't gotten around to trying it yet.

purple textures and my lagometer started tripping out. The blue upside down peaks mean the frame is interpolating between two valid snapshots, but I have no idea what that means.... Happens in all servers & my ping is always <60. Because cod2 at one time ran nicely, i did a full reformat and it didn't fix it -- the problems were still there. css, quake4, and bf2 all run fine.

how frustrating....I love this game.

As others said, SuperPi means squat for stability. You need to Prime95 your system w/ small FFT's for a good 6-8 hours to claim you're stable.

I played all the way through Call of Duty 2 on my 8800GTX and never got a single glitch. Never got the purple stuff you have here; might just be an unstable system you have there or a bad card.

I run the widescreen hack (the one where someone told you to rename your res bin file as the Rb6config.bin) and HDR works for me. Using the 97.92's.

Game runs slow as hell and doesn't appear to work in SLI, though. OWA you have any success w/ this one in SLI?

Do that, and you corrupt files all over the place if you have an unstable overclock.

Best to stress-test it before you go running applications left and right.

No SLI in Rainbow Six Vegas =

Can anybody else get this to work in SLI? It's heating up both cards but I'm getting no increase in performance at all compared to a single card.

I have it enabled but haven't compared single versus multi yet. I think there is some info in the Rainbox Six Vegas thread (in the gaming section) on improving the performance (by using certain profiles or SLI values). I can't remember if I've done that or not though.

In the starting area, it does look like SLI is working for me. The green bars were almost maxed and the framerate is almost double (44 fps single versus 81 fps SLI).

Damn, if you're getting 81fps then something on my system is definitely fubar'd. Is that when you're staring into the sun at the beginning. Out in that wide open space my framerate takes a nosedive all the way to 25-30fps.

I need to enable the load balancers and see what's up.

Maybe not. I chose the beginning since I could use that to get the same perspective. Just around the corner in the large open area it does drop considerably for me as well. I haven't been watching closely enough to know if there's always a big drop in the large open areas or not.

Mine doesn't drop too bad except for that wide open area at the beginning of the game. When you get a few characters on the screen it drops significantly, but not as bad as the beginning.

SLI just doesn't seem to be helping this game at all.
