I played all the way through Call of Duty 2 on my 8800GTX and never got a single glitch. Never got the purple stuff you have here; might just be an unstable system you have there or a bad card.
I doubt that as I get the same dumb purple effect with my setup. I'm betting it is just a driver bug.

Then everybody else must have the same problem. But that's not the case.

Use the standard clocks on your machine and check what happens. There's no reason to ask for help while your system is overclocked.

I've tried every rendering mode there is, and I've tried the executables (RelicCOH.exe, unreal.exe). Performance is the same across the renders and the game locks up if I try and run from one of these executables with default recommended SLI.

Which drivers are you using, slawter? I'm using the 97.92's.

I just loaded up COD 2 with 1.3 patch last night and it runs so freakin' smooth I cannot believe it. I had no purple textures either so it's something with your system. I even used a save game and hopped around different missions within the game, nothing purple here.

Don't think this has been mentioned yet, but the stutter problem in Call of Duty United Offensive seems to be a conflict with Punkbuster.

Disable Punkbuster in the multiplayer options, restart the game and the stutter is gone...of course, so have any decent servers

I don't agree it's a PB issue - CoDUO multiplayer stutters here with PB enabled AND disabled. Try playing on some servers for a while and you see it's still there.

Oh the joy everytime I see a new "fix" and try it with no success. --> -->

Me too buddy, me too. I feel your pain bro, as I too love United Offensive.

I've tried every set of 8800 drivers, and nothing seems to change this games performance or appearance. I wonder if the game automatically locked itself into a low quality mode when it ran the minimum requirements test and said my CPU failed because it didn't run at 3.0GHZ (I couldn't believe it actually said that but it did)? Does anyone know if this can happen? I find it incredibly stupid that the test would say my C2D @ 2.7GHz is worse than a P4 at 3GHz, but I'm not surprised given the other crap UBI has pulled.

If it's not the widescreen hack (renaming the .bin file), then mabe that's it? I have tried every different resolution, and turning HDR on and off, but it does not work (and the game looks terrible too) unless I use the Oblivion trick.

BTW, my game plays very smoothly all of the time (around 60+ fps with HDR + 2xAA @ 1680x1050 with the Oblivion trick) except in that first screen on the first level that enemies come in. At that point it dips into the teens sometimes.

I really have to say that this game (as is) is pretty much unplayable for me. With the oblivion trick it looks amazing until the shadow corruption takes over. However, that is obviously not a workable solution either.
I guess I'll try uninstalling and re-installing, than I'm gonna give up until a new patch comes out, or new drivers adress fixes for the game.

Using an 8800GTX on Windows XP Professional X64 or Vista X64 reults in no support for 64Bit games.

Unreal Tournament 2004 64Bit, Farcry64Bit, Chronicles Of Riddick 64Bit Will CTD after clicking the EXE. The games splash screen will appear and then drop back to the desktop. Tested on 3 different PC's using 3 different 8800GTX's and Windows XP Professional X64 and Vista Premium X64.

AMD Video cards work fine.

Swat 4 does not work with the 8800 GTS/GTX. Instant freeze upon start up, tried with a Geforce 4 MX 440 and it started up and ran.

You can get past the movies and all but once it hits main menu it will try to resize and it crashes.

PC issue, works fine here with OC'd GTS. I have been playing without a problem. Try running driver cleaner to remove the MX400 left overs.
