i think we should delete this thread, and start all over again.

pretty much all of these issues mentioned got fixed in the latest drivers.

I still have couple of weird texture flickering issues with World of Warcraft and Eve-Online.

Its weird since it always happens in exactly same texture surfaces.

In warcraft the first place is at WSG battleground horde side both sides of the "mills saw" inside the building. And second most of the carpets when looking from certain angle. When the camera stays still it doesnt flicker at all.. but when i move the camera the texture flickers.

With Eve-online its an issue with planet rings and some of the station walls.

Its like the card is trying to apply somekind of shading or shadows to the surfaces and it ends up looking like crap.

Anybody else get this. I could post some screenshots when i get home.

Is this an hardware issue or software.

I have MSI 8800GTX card with winxp and latest drivers.

Hey ville, I think I have the same issue with Dark Messiah, when I walk up to a curtain on the wall it flickers (like some of the texture of the curtain is missing and reappears), same exact place. I have 2 EVGA 8800GTX. Really kills my enjoyment of the game, seeing these flickering or missing textures while all the other texture are fine. Using 158.19 drivers on XP pro.

Yes this sounds exactly like it. I am getting windows vista sometimes soon. Have to test the card with it too. If the same happens I think i have to conclude that it is a hardware problem?

I think it is driver issue, I play some of my other games and they look great with no issues.

Is anyone else getting artifacting in Dark Messiah with these drivers? If I set my texture detail to very high, I get sound stuttering and severe artifacting in some areas such as the introductory level. Eventually things slow to a halt and lock up my machine. This is the first time I have tried to play the game, so I am not too sure if it is a driver or UBI soft issue.

Medieval 2 Total War has big problems with the 8800 series of cards.

When using the above card and ANY release of driver the shadows for trees etc will not display on the battlefield, the unit shadows will appear.

Problem, with screenies, shown here...
