This is the first time I have tried to play the game, so I am not too sure if it is a driver or UBI soft issue.
I'm currently playing Dark Messiah on my 8800gtx @stock + 158.22 and after some random time, i'm sometimes experiencing textures corruption (become all yellow) . This is the only game which have such a behaviour (i've played STALKER, Need for Speed Carbon, Gothic 3 without pb) so it's not related to the card itself.

It was worst with the previous drivers now i can play several sessions during several hours without any pb

HL2 Ep.1 has some serious issues (havent played HL2 with this card). I've tried the latest 3 drivers and it will only work for a little while then the game will hang and i have to restart the computer. I also get graphical problems (like the card is over heated) with this game. really sucks since i was hoping to enjoy this game with a better card etc, but it sucks because its so unstable.

Im rather disapointed with this card, feels too much like a, um, beta-card with drivers that never gets totaly fixed, always some problem. I never had this much problems with any card (i've had like 10 3D cards, my first was the Rendition Verité). Many games suffers from tremendous FPS drops as well (10-11 FPS all of a sudden), alt+tab fixes this most of the time but it's not a good fix. Sometimes i wish i still had my x1800xt :/

This sounds like the same thing I am getting in Dark Messiah. Are you getting any crazy triangle spikes or artifacting geometry in Half Life?

Yes i've had that (traingles) a couple of times.

I've noticed with this card that the more effects you use (textures on higest, AA etc) the buggier it gets. Turning off AA completely and using lower textures results in a much, much more stable game. Really sucks.

Game: Neverwinter Nights 1
Version: 1.68
OS: Windows XP SP2
Graphics card: GeForce 8800 GTX
Nvidia driver: 158.22

Problem:
The title/menu screen is blank. It seems like the menu is functional since I can hear sounds when I left click the screen. But the game is unplayable since it's impossible to see the load screen.

Edit: Using the 158.19 driver fixes the problem

Silverfall hardlocks on me at the titlescreen. Currently using 158.22 drivers. Funny thing is it worked before I installed the DirectX9 April update.

Only other games I've played in the past weeks are: C&C3, CoH, Gothic 3, GW:Nightfall, NWN2, Oblivion, OutRun2006, Stalker, SupCom and TDU. They all seem to work just fine.

System:
Xeon3060
2048MB RAM
8800GTX @158.19 or 158.22 (problem persists with both versions)
WinXP SP2 32bit

Game: Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion, version: 1.2.0416

Problem:
Video memory is quickly filled (some texture mods), but not cleared of the data when it is no longer needed. After about 200 MB of data are stored in the RAM, the performance is drastically reduced and stays that way until the game is completely shut down and started again. Alt-tabbing or just reloading the savegame does not help

I'm having the same problem as many other UT2004 players.

Screenshots simply turn out completely black.

I'm having:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
2 x 1 GB Corsair XMS2 PC6400CL4
ASUS Commando P965
XFX GeForce 8800GTS - Forceware 158.22
Windows XP Professional SP2

The problem only occurs when running fullscreen mode with the "D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice" render. Using "OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice" or the software mode makes it work fine, but it also gives much much lower fps.

Running windowed mode in any render makes the screenshot function work also, but as mentioned before, it doesn't in fullscreen.

I've tried multiple config files in UT2004, nothing changed, tried changing tons of the 3D settings in the nVidia drivers, still nothing.

Please fix this asap nVidia, MANY MANY UT2004 players are having this problem

Its also cutting into my ut 2k4 mod based enjoyment. I'm helping beta test the Star Wars- based Troopers total conversion, and this stuttering bug and lack of screenshots thing has killed me . Literally and figuratively ;P.

I cant' blow up the death star on my own now, and of course some hallways turn into 4 fps death stills.

I'm not even sure if I am seeing bugs with the game or maps, since I got the new 8800 GTS, or have something to contribute to the Devs bug report any longer .

Anyway, UT engine based games still get alot pf play on and offline [ the bots AI is pretty dang good] and I wish I could play with the uber FX I upgraded for.

I hope the solution is simple enough to figure out and another driver update will come to us. Thanks.

here's my machine :
AMD 4400x2,
Corsair 620 watt psu of pwnageness,
2 gig crucial ddr 400, Asus AV8-SE mobo,
Evga superclocked 8800 gts [ 320 Meg]
X-FI [music edition]
Seagate 120 MB sata HDD, XP home SP2 , trackball and cheap 19" widescreen with 1400 x 900 res.

Didn't fix it for me with my 8800GTS 320. I tried it on both a C2D e6600 rig an an AMD single core 4000+ and that game still averages 20-30 FPS max no matter what I change, Issue with COD/UO still there unless lighting (dynamic and volumetric) are set to off but it still stutters when firefights are close (lighting seems to be the real issue with these cards). Thief DS though is absolutely unplayable. In fact the onboard GPU on my AMD system plays it as well (6150). I'm really wondering if nVIDIA is going to be actually be able to address these issue with a driver or it it's hardware related.

Edit: After a proper driver clean these drivers actually do fix the issues in this game. At least it's at 70 FPS @ 12*10 now instead of 25. COD/UO issues remain though.
