Supreme Commander beta 1.3: Shadows now fixed, Fine
Homeworld 2 v1.1: shadow errors + windowed. (worked with 7800GTX)
Unreal 2004: fine
Unreal 2 v7710: Fine
Mechwarrior 4 Mecs: Fine
Mechwarrior 4: Fine
System Shock 2 v1.03: Freezes during game (Opertating system still responsive) worked with 7800GTX
Oblivion 1.1: Shadows now fixed, water effects now fixed: Fine
Armour Command: Worked first time now just crashes
Metal Fatigue: Crashes on mission load tried both OpenGL + D3D (worked on 7800GTX in D3D)
TomClancy Splinter Cell: No shadows does not look like it uses stencil projected shadows (worked with 7800GTX)

Well it looks like i will have to build a new system as the 8800GTX compatibility is the lowest yet.

I don't have screenshots , but I can say that with 97.44 drivers I had the exact same issue as OWA in oblivion. His screenshot on page 1 looks identical to what I saw. There was also heavy fog on almost anywhere I went that had a distant view. I'll try to cap some screens of it later if go back to the driver that didn't work for crap

Game works fine here, If you have a dualcore system make sure to set the games affinity to s single core.

Still locks up even when i disabled CPU 1 and left CPU 0, seems the instant crashing for the Xfi card with EAX enabled. BUt i can play the game for about a minuite before freezing. Think i will try turning on Vsync as i was running 300 meters a second. Put Vsync force on and it stopped crashing.

Other than these stutters, my frame rates are in the upper 200 range most of the time at 1600x1200, 16x AA, 16x AF. Lowering settings and changing the resolution has no effect. I have absolutely no issues with any other game and have been overall extremely happy with the 8800 GTX and these drivers.

Would someone mind reporting this issue to NVIDIA?
Thanks for confirming.....I'm almost tempted to leave my 7900GTs in my machine until everything is fixed, but I forgot how loud they are compared to the 8800.

Games who have the same Problem as Starwars Republic Commando, crushing when started: Star Trek Armada (one), StarWars Podracer and Alien vs. Predator (one). I think this 3 games are DX6.1
