I do seem to have some lines on the floor of caves, as if areas aren't being "stitched together" properly.

Running at 1920x1200, HDR, no AA on a Dell 2407WFP.

TR: Legends looks great at 1920x1200 with everything turned on. I tried 3DMark06 1.10, but after the first test (Return to Proxycon) the program shifted back and forth between a black screen and the desktop (at what appeared to be several resolutions) and then locked on a black screen.

I'm off to try out Quake 4 and HL2:Episode One. The speed of the card is phenominal, but the drivers, IMO, are about 80% of where they ought to be at this point.

well if worse comes to worse, install the 96.89s off the disk they worked great in everything.

Thanks for the advice. I may try that. Oblivion is my current favorite; being able to run it without the IQ issues would be great.

I tried out HL2: Lost Coast (wanted a simple test) with everything on at 1920x1200. It looked great, but I'm probably slowed down slightly by the CPU, so I dropped back to Reflect World instead of Reflect all, and dropped aniso from 16x to 8x. This sped things up a bit. No problems.

Quake 4 runs great at 1600x1200, Ultra quality. Quite impressive, actually.

With all settings to the max....you should be pulling more 60fps at all times in any source engine game.

I'd check that one out wolf.

I'm pulling 40-60fps in oblivion now with HDR and 4XFSAA plus a couple texture mods and natural enviroments plugins.

With my 7950GX2 I was only getting 35-50 fps with just HDR and the same exact mods in place.

I've found the 97.02's to be the best drivers so far.

Thanks,

JC

Somehow the 8800 isn't able to run everquest 2 better then the 6800's could it seems. A few of my guildies have 8800's and complain that they are getting severe stuttering in game when casting spells and such. I just recently bought a ati x1900 AiW and have have 0 problems in games, and everquest 2 runs better on it then it did my 6800. So i have come to the conclusion that the 8800 series must be faulty in some way if it cant run every game properly.

No, Its just that EQ2 is buggy as hell. I couldn't run it smooth at all with my 7800GTX SLi rig but with a single 6800GT and a 9800Pro it ran flawless.

Can anyone confirm that Nvidia is aware of all of this? I find this very unusual for Nvidia to have all these driver issues.
Note from NVIDIA:

NVIDIA is monitoring this thread and working on fixing some of these issues. NVIDIA is investigating each issue to see if it is a known bug or needs a new bug filed.

As always, please try to provide as much information as possible about your system configuration, drivers, resolution, and software settings when posting information about issues with a game.

Thanks for your patience while we work to resolve these issues.

There you have it, they are aware.

Ok, if nvidia is monitoring this thread, i will bump the 8800gtx problem with SCDA & latest 97.44 forceware

My spec is

- Core2duo e6600
- Asus P5W-DH Deluxe
- 2x1 Go DDR2 6400 5-5-5-15
- Albatron 8800gtx @freq stock (no o'c) & 97.44 forceware

As soon as the high shader option is activated ingame and whatever the ohter options are, they are corruptions on the textures : Proof
With Shader off:

With Shader on:
