Default Interstellar Marines: Kick @$$ UE3 in all its glory!

Here is the Gamestop link for the game:

And some things that I find interesting:

I'm am extremely stoked about this game. For me, it is right up there with Crysis and I cannot stand waiting anymore!!! AAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!

Seriously, I'm curious why there isn't more hype about this game. It looks as if it is gonna' be another extremely awesome title- maybe even up there with Crysis and HL2 or (dare I say) better.

What's your guys' take this title? Is there information about that I don't know of? Maybe a good reason for there being no buzz about it? Or might it be a sleeper title like FarCry was?

What ya'll think?

Yea, that trailer was around for a while, sadly its all prerendered.

I can't imagine 1/1/06 is the release date, there is pratically no information on it.

Also, I don't think they even have a publisher yet:

Quote:
A teaser and trailer has been released as part of an initial “Proof of concept” that demonstrates the idea, feel, look and convey the quality, originality and excitement to potential future partners as well as the gaming community. Zero Point Software is currently working on a playable demo and are in negotiations with several publishers.

I'll consider that to be good news. Those graphics weren't too terribly impressive coming from the UE3. I guess I mean the texturing (more specifically for characters and clothing/suits).

Yeah, I'm really stoked about this game. That trailer was sweet.

I'm expecting the actual in-game graphics to be better than what we saw in that trailer. *crosses fingers*

Does UE3 use OpenGL or DX? If DX, is it DX10 only? If so, that'd mean this will be exclusively DX10.

Also some things that I'm curious about, will it be a "Games for Windows" branded titled? If it were, that'd mean wide screen support and support for both 64bit processors and multi-core processors. I'm sure if they really focus on making great use of the multi-core 64bit processors they can do some pretty amazing things.

I'm extremely stoked about the game. I guess there is even gonna' be a demo, or atleast they are shooting to release one, sometime this month. That'll rock.

Since its UE3.0 its prolly DX9, potentially with a DX10 renderer aswell.
UT2k7 is DX9 for example, but will be patched with DX10 support.

Okay. So you don't think that this will be a DX10 game? Or, it'll be DX10 via a patch?

Is there any news about this game other than what I have already linked to?

Wow. It seems this game is very over-looked.

Oh well. I've tried googling for more info on this game but there really is none.

No actual in-game screenshots or anything. I'm wondering if it really will be available the first of next month. Seems they have a lot to do yet. I sure hope it does get completed. They said it is a AAA fps- so I'm certain they will complete this game properly or bust. With how it sounds, I'd buy all three to have the complete trilogy.

I'm hoping it arrives next month and is good. Maybe they are keeping it completely under wraps to stop fans like us hyping it then posting threads about how let down they were that the game didn't cure cancer.

Either that or the game has gone the way of Mr Nukem.
