I haven't noticed anything different with my x1950 XT. I don't understand why you guys have such problems though. I get an average of 30 FPS on maxed settings :S There are the occassional areas where it drops steeply, right down to 5 FPS though

Performance under X1900XTX was so poor for me even @1280x960,noAA,8xAF (maxed settings). yeah 30fps is pretty bad for me.
thank god i have a 8800GTX otherwise i would'nt play this game at all.

Check the forums on rainbowsixgame.com

The first patch screwed up the game, so the next day they re-released 1.04 in a fixed state. However, early adoptors of 1.04 had to reinstall the game to fix it.

^Are you THE fatality?

@SH64.. Uhm, as I said earlier on, the game is much easier to play with a gamepad when there's lag - it's far less noticable.

I dont think the real fatal1ty even has time to post on forums

On topic: Ive got a 7900GT at 535/1600, running the game on 1024x768, maxed settings, no vsync, no AA. Runs great, occasional FPS drops (15 or less) during huge firefights. Im quite happy with what im getting. Jaggies dont bother me much, so yeah im a seasoned warrior when it comes to playing without AA. I rather sacrifice the AA to get HDR+Bloom beacuse i like those stuff.

Btw, when i turn off HDR in the video options the color in some dark areas gets screwed, like a little reddish brown. It was on my MP5 as well. Is this normal?

Oh yeah maybe i'll get some of my screenshots up as well.

It's normal for an Ubi port. Because they did hardly any optimising for PC the game expects the default graphic options or nothing else. So take away HDR and it look crazy...

Still I just got the game and I'm having a ball with it. Easily worth the money unlike Double Agent.

vegas was coded by montreal , while double agent by shanghai

shanghai team should be all fired, those idiots don't know how to code.

ubi shouldn't let shanghai try to code any game that has potential, and just write games for cell phones
