Yeah, ASUS, I still can't get the shadows to work. I tried turning off motion blur and fiddling with the PCKellerEngine.ini settings. What are all the settings you have in your CP (like Triple Buffering, etc)?

Hell, I didn't even notice my shadows were not working until last night. I thought maybe it had something to do with messing with the files (removing blur, etc), but I guess it's a driver thing.

Install driver version 158.19, set AA to whatever you want it at in the nvidia control panel and set AA Mode to Override. Tada! Oh, and make sure HDR is enabled in the R6V Video Options. That's it!

I've gone to back to 97.94 though, due to video corruption and since AA+HDR doesn't work with this set, my shadows are back. Ah well.

It may not support that resolution without modifying one of the files. Just look back thru this thread and you should find the answer.

Unhappy Re: Rainbow Six Vegas Feedback Thread

I'm still "testing" a 8800 GTX at home & i just tried R6V again.

I'm having a very bad frame rate with this game & i can't understand it.

Here, in the beginning of the game:

20fps @ 1280x1024 (max quality in game options, AA off in control panel).

What does this game need to run @ 60 fps +- ?

I was thinking about going 8800 GTX SLI, but, , even with SLI the framerate will be below 40fps on my rig.

I know that i haven't an overclocked Core2Duo running at 3.6 GHz, but, come on, it's a "small" resolution & i'm using a 8800GTX.

The game have some streaming points for the 360 in the PC version and in this points the framerate is very bad . But the perfomance drop is exclusively in those points of "streaming "

http://elblogdelosjuegosmalditos.blo...o-entrada.html

it selects the shadows in "bajo" - low - , the framerate gain is about 100 % . In "medium " , the framerate gain is about 50 % .
