I can't see the linked images... but honestly I will use this thread to get it out... I will be buying a Wii sometime next year (Christmas for the loss)... not because games look great or WHAOMG TEH REVOLIXION!... but after last gen... I was used to having all of the systems and anytime ANY game came out, I could buy it and know that I could play it without problems... having only 2/3rd of the whole thing sucks.

That fake news report about the strap breaking is funny as hell. I don't know how he talked that retarded for that long with a straight face.

How the hell does someone do that to their knee playing Tennis in Wii Sports. I mean...I just don't understand it. How uncoordinated do you have to be to pull that off? It's just mind blowing to me.

This apparently happened playing Zelda. How the hell did she manage that?

Wow... I can understand possibly having the strap break and go flying or whatever... but yeah... dislocating your knee and stuff is a bit hard to believe :\.

Oh I remember hearing that story. Apparently her drunk boyfriend came home and tried to "protect her" by seizing the controller, flailing wildly and drunkenly, and "accidentally" clocking her in the face.

Edit: Full story about it

Quote:
"The day our Wii arrived also happened to be when my work was holding our Christmas party. Not being one to forego free booze, off I went leaving the girlie to play to her hearts content.

After guzzling a copious amount of 'wife beater' (Stella Artois) - I returned home to find the girlie in mid battle with a Zelda 'Boss'. In my inebriated state, it was instinctual to become her knight in shining armour. I proceeded to take the controllers off her and fight the beast myself.

Unfortunately, my courage was far greater then my skill. Having taken a good kicking, Liz then tried to intervene with disastrous results. She approached me from the side, appearing from my blind spot, whilst I was performing a slashing movement. I hit her with full force right in her eye!

I truly thought I'd blinded her and was almost about to call an abulance but then her pain died down. You can see the results of the accident in the attached photo...

I'm lucky that Liz is a good sport, but it did cost me, Liz has first dibs on the Wii... a small price to pay - I guess -Jim"

lol

also, why do ppl move it so hard/fast? i would be very cautious, especially when moving the controller towards a $2000 TV heh.

They either have more money than sense, or parents that buy them anything.

I can understand why the straps are breaking but what i dont understand is why people are letting go of the wiimote itself for the strap to snap in the first place

I know the wiimote isnt the easyest to grip and some people get sweaty hands but jeez thay must have vaseline on their hands for it to slip out at such a speed crack a hard tv screen.

Also ive noticed in the pics with the broken tv glass but the wiimote is plastic and is still intact. something strange is going on here!
