GLX problems with Nvidia drivers
Hi. Sorry to bother again. Kubuntu Edgy, AMD64, with some additional software installed.
One of these software was beryl+aigl. Using latest BIOS, drivers, etc.
Everything was working perfectly.
Then, today, I was trying beryl, and windows decorations were failing and beryl seemed not to allow switching windows. I tried re-starting the X server and since then, X11 won't start. I've tried re-installing the NVidia drivers, with no effect.
Also, I had recently installed and created pbuilder for using a chroot for building 32-bit applications.
Looking into the log, the problem appears to be that there's a crash when "Load glx" is reached with:
XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0"
after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
This error does not appear in the submitted logs, only if I do startx manually.
Interesting enough, there's no libnvidia-glx.so in the modules directory. Is this supposed to be correct? Where did the glx so move to in the new nvidia driver distros?
Commenting the Load glx, makes X11 boot properly, but there's no opengl acceleration, of course.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: GLX problems with Nvidia drivers
Oh well, I'll answer myself.
For some reason:
The dso's at:
were the ones causing the problem. The ones at:
worked fine if installed in /usr/lib.
Anyone from NVidia can comment on what each of those versions is?
