When you say "shut down nHancer", do you mean go into services.msc and disable nHancer to see if that make any difference ?
I do not have nHancer start when I boot into Windows nor is it sitting in my system tray
The service is completely passive when nHancer isn't running. It shouldn't make any difference.

So, when exactly do you have these problems? While nHancer is running? While nHancer is installed? Or once you've used nHancer, no matter if it's still there or not?

Get it from www.nhancer.com
With version 2.3.1 we had to uninstall any previous version.
Is that the same with 2.3.2 or can you just click the .exe and install over 2.3.1 ?

Does it make any difference if I have already made changes to the nvapps.xml file to make nHancer work with 169.xx drivers ?

cheers

It's only happened with the 169.xx series drivers.
As I said I noted that there had been some changes in the nvapps.xml for MOHAA that wasn't there with older drivers such as 163.44.

nekrosoft13 had noted changes in these values:
PROPERTY Label="multichip_rendering_mode" Value="0x02402001" Default="0x02402001" Itemtype="predefined"/>
<PROPERTY Label="aa_feature_bits" Value="0x00000045" Default="0x00000045" Itemtype="predefined"/>

I was wondering if that was the problem.

cheers

Grestorn,

Would it be possible for you to add an option to enable the old Multisampling Transparency AA mode? The newer forceware drivers have a new MS TSAA mode. I'd like to compare the old mode to the new mode on some games without having to reinstall older drivers.

Thanks.

I introduced the service with version 2.1, because there is no other way to be able to use a tool like nHancer in Vista without having to start it with "Run as Administrator" (or turning off UAC).

The service does nothing else but relay all nHancer actions which require admin rights (writing into the registry and changing nvapps.xml). When nHancer isn't running, the service does nothing at all.

The only disadvantage of the service is that the boot up time might increase slightly (less than a second). The additional memory consumption is usually of no concern, since the OS swapps inactive applications out of physical memory anyway.

I haven't really looked into that yet, but it seems that nVidia replaced the old TMSAA mode completely, so there's little hope that I can reactivate the old mode in the new drivers. Sorry.

Ok i love enhancer, i was able to import profiles from the 92.8x sdrivers into my 93.71 for my 7950 GX2, I like being able to overclock. But I'd like the newer drivers profiles, like for example the 169.09 Crysis profiles plaus All the new ones updates with that driver set.

But i get errors after extracting the nvapps.xl_ to nvapps.xml and trying to import that file which contains the newest profiles in teh installation directpory copied by the initial 169.09 driver pre-installation folder.

So my question is:
How can i add those new driver profiles from the newest drivers successfully and keep my 93.71 for my 7950 GX2. is there a way that i dont know about that's new?

I need some help please, i like teh SLi fix helping my FPs in Crysis , but i cant oveclock and that bugging me way too much, i cant have driers without that, hence why i have the 93.71's in teh first place. Thank You for your support!

What error message are you getting exactly?

nVidia is using a new mode in their Profiles. The numeric value of this mode is 6. I don't know what's so different about this mode, but all games that are using it now were using AFR before. So it looks like a special new AFR mode to me.

Sorry that I don't know more about that.
