NV Control Panel and Game Settings maxed using Forceware 158.19 on WinXP Pro 32bit. Just when you thought this game couldn't get any better looking.

Agreed,i love the fact that the weird fps drops i had in this and many other games since december with 2 prior 8800gtx have vanished with better drivers.

You could start by deleting you Oblivion.ini file and letting the game recreate it for you. To me though it looks like maybe you removed or added some textures. Run archiveinvalidation in OMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) to see if it helps.

well i reinstalled the game adn installed the mods

i also tryed FEAR and my "bench" was really low like under 100fps in all three tests.

i have AF 16x AA 16xQ enhance AA i think it is in english my CP is in swedish

wonder why the performnace is so low.

perhaps a reinstall of windows might help

installing .net 3.0 isnåt nevessary is it?

Stick with 8x AA - its the best balance for frame rates and IQ.

If you play CoJ with VSync and without triple-buffer support then it's true the halving of frame-rate (60/30/15 etc) does make the game perform poorly, as I found out last night when I forgot to launch the .exe through DXTweaker for the additonal back buffer. I was thinking to myself "why is performance so dire now!".

If you run the game with DXTweaker then it keeps things much smoother, even when frame rate drops below 40, due to the frame-rate not being halved all the time. This removes any choppiness from the game.
