Default Re: 9746 alt-F[123456] doesn't work

hi..

got ubuntu edgy. laptop. nvidia fx6600 go. drivers 9746.
i've the same problem, but than with lots of trippy colors.
the solution mentioned some lines above to edit gdm.conf didn't help, like it does not help to set vga=normal nor anything seems to help.
other versions of drivers or ubuntus didn't help either....
problemo persisto!

when not running on nvidia-drivers but "nv" instead I got no trouble with that stuff. but than again, i need the nvidia-drivers...
the rest is working quite ok, well...
wHAT should I dO?

I have a similar problem, but in my case the console is blank or is flicking depending on the vga mode:

Fixed now with the brand new NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0-9755-pkg2.run released today!
Using the standard vga=0x317 option in /boot/grub/menu.lst does not causes the terminal to flick anymore.
Wonderful!!!!!!!!
