Default USB problems

Hi,

I have a ASROCK ALIVENF6-G DVI mother boad under Ubuntu Edgy.
As the nvidai chipset is not supported, I have compiled my own 2.6.19.1 kernel which works well except some problems with usb :
-my scanner doesn't work (I/O err)
-same thing for my card reader with a memory card
